KIDS THAT CARE began in 1996 to assist pediatric bone marrow transplant patients and their families. In February, 2000, KIDS THAT CARE became the only student-run organization to be affiliated with the Jackson Memorial Foundation, a 501(c) (3) tax exempt organization. Through the generosity of KIDS THAT CARE's individual and corporate donors, the organization has expanded to provide services to all patients being treated for life-threatening illness at children's hospitals throughout South Florida.
Our mission at KIDS THAT CARE is to eradicate life-threatening childhood diseases through the support of clinical research and education, while providing children and their families with guidance, knowledge, and assistance to cope with their illness in a supportive and caring environment.
In our attempt to fulfill this mission, we offer many traditional, as well as novel projects. We feel that approaching the subject of childhood diseases from a variety of angles is the best way to help families going through this crisis.
